Road Show to the UK Opens New Opportunities for Ukrainian Tech Companies

The IT Ukraine Association actively develops an international track and provides assistance to Ukrainian companies to scale their business and attract new customers in foreign markets.

In September 2020, with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP) the Association launched the IT Export Alliance - an international project, which is implemented under the Union brand, and facilitates entering export markets for Ukrainian IT companies. During this period, within trade missions to Germany, Norway and Finland it united 15 small and medium-sized Ukrainian technology companies, as well as more than a dozen national and international partners.

This year, we focused on the business opportunities of the United Kingdom, the key European technology market for Ukrainian tech business. Today, more than 110 Ukrainian companies are represented in this country, up to 3% of tech professionals have relocated here since the beginning of the war. According to the Association's research, the UK is among the top ten countries for opening new offices by our companies.

From November 30 to December 7, as part of the IT Export Alliance, the Association, together with its partners, organises a Road Show in London for 8 Ukrainian small and medium-sized tech companies seeking to develop on the UK market: Computools, Kind Geek, Coax Software, 8allocate, Relevant Software, Devlight, Lampa Software, Integrity Vision. The participating companies offer full-service software, custom and innovative solutions in such industries as FinTech, Retail, Healthcare, EdTech, Telecom.

The trade mission is implemented jointly with the Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export, the Diia.Business and with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP) and the Embassy of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The program of the Road Show includes the presentation of companies at national stands in the exhibition areas of the largest international conferences Fintech Connect (November 30 - December 1) and TechEx Global (December 1-2), the festival of medical innovations GIANT Health (December 6-7), participants' speeches at panel discussions, networking events, individual B2B meetings with British companies. Main focus: Fintech, Health Care, AI & BigData, IOT. In particular, Alex Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine will deliver a speech to the participants of Fintech Connect. At the  main stage of IOT EXPO, which is a part of TechEx Global, Oleksandr GRYBAN, Deputy Minister of Economy will present the Internet of Things in Ukraine and the investment opportunities of the country.
